2016 Duck Race
Don't forget to buy your ducks! The Heritage Days Committee in partnership with Ida Grove Community Partners is sponsoring the annual Duck Race during Heritage Days. The race will be held Saturday, June 25th at 2:30 in the creek at City Park. Prices for ducks are as follows: Prizes include (2) 1/2 hog, $500.00 in Chamber Bucks, a men’s and women’s watch and much, much more. If if you have any questions please let me know! Thanks!

The King Theatre Renovation Board, along with architect Daric O'Neal, will present to the community on Tuesday, February 7th from 6 - 8 pm on the progress of the King Theatre Project. Board Chair Doug Clough will discuss progress to date including money raised, grants garnered, and the progress of this 103 year old community landmark. Paw Patrol Party
Bring your family for a night of games, snacks, and prizes with the Ida Grove Ambulance, Ida Grove Fire Dept., and the Ida County Sheriff's Dept. Join us at the Ida Grove Library for a free movie night! In preparation for the 2017 Great American Eclipse on August 21st, the library will be showing the movie Apollo 13 on Thursday, August 17th beginning at 5:30pm. The Ida Grove Library has joined more than 1,000 libraries across the country to participate in the celestial event of the century, the August 21, 2017 Solar Eclipse. Annual Community Barbecue
The Ida Grove Fire Department will be hosting their Annual Community Barbecue Fundraiser on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. A meal including burgers, beans, chips and drink will be available for a free will donation, as well as free truck rides for the children and a jaws of life demonstration at 5:30 and 6:30. Pumpkin Parade & Trick or Treating
Bring your families and meet at Godbersen park at 5:30 PM for a small costume contest and parade. After the parade a treat bag filled with goodies from Ida Grove businesses and glow necklaces will be available to make our kids more visible while out after dark. Turkey Trot
6th Annual Fun Run/Walk Prediction "Race" Thanksgiving Morning 8:30 AM (registration begins at 7:45 AM) The fun/walk will be held on the Pleasant Valley Trail (in town only), starting and ending at the Rec Center. The winner of the fastest time and the winner of the closest prediction will each receive a dozen decorated Thanksgiving cookies. $5 of each registration will be donated to the Ida County Food Pantry and $5 will go to the Rec Center.
