The King Theatre Renovation Board, along with architect Daric O'Neal, will present to the community on Tuesday, February 7th from 6 - 8 pm on the progress of the King Theatre Project. Eclipse 2017 Viewing Party
The Ida Grove Library has joined more than 1,000 libraries across the country to participate in the celestial event of the century, the August 21, 2017 Solar Eclipse. 6th Annual Fun Run/Walk Prediction "Race" Thanksgiving Morning 8:30 AM (registration begins at 7:45 AM) The fun/walk will be held on the Pleasant Valley Trail (in town only), starting and ending at the Rec Center. The winner of the fastest time and the winner of the closest prediction will each receive a dozen decorated Thanksgiving cookies. $5 of each registration will be donated to the Ida County Food Pantry and $5 will go to the Rec Center.

Ida Grove Source Water Community Kick-Off
Conservation Districts of Iowa has partnered with the DNR to provide communities access to a Source Water Community Facilitator. Photography of Don Poggensee
Join noted Northwest Iowa photographer Don Poggensee for a special guided exhibit of his work on Thursday, November 15th at 6:30 pm. The exhibit will feature a variety of photographs taken throughout his career, including photographs of the Amish, northern lights, star trails, wildlife, nature and other special images. The Ida Grove Library will host Iowa author, Linda McCann, for a special program about POWs in Iowa on Wednesday, October 23th at 2 pm. From 1943-1946, Iowa housed approximately 25,000 German, Italian, and Japanese prisoners of war. While Algona and Clarinda were the main camps, and there were about 17 branches or short-term camps throughout Iowa; including a camp in Storm Lake.
