Kenny and Sherry Tietsort have lived on their farm halfway between Ida Grove and Battle Creek since 1982. They have farmed and raised cattle and three years ago they started gardening again, raising a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. The Sioux City Farmers Market is their main market, and last year Kenny helped get the Ida Area Farmers’ Market started. Kenny and Sherry find that the best part about going to farmers markets is meeting new people and vendors, and they find themselves learning new things about gardening all the time.
